Dolphin surprises swimmers at St. Pete Beach, Florida

wimmers at St. Pete Beach got quite the surprise when a dolphin got up close and personal with them.

Christina King of St. Petersburg, who captured the thrilling moment on camera, described it as a feeling “out of a movie!”

It’s not uncommon to spot dolphins on a beach day in Gulf waters, but it’s not too often they’ll get that close to a crowd. It may have been because it was hungry — King said they saw it catch a fish and you can hear people in the video amazed at what they were seeing.

“It got ‘em!”

“Yo, it got a fish!”

Although it isn’t all too clear, you can see what looks like a fish in the dolphin’s mouth as it swims away. Have you ever had an experience like this while at the beach?!
