Tarpon Springs’ Greek Orthodox community is gearing up for this weekend’s 118th Epiphany celebration — one of the Tampa Bay area’s most unique religious traditions.
The annual celebration signifies the baptism of Jesus Christ by St. John the Baptist in the River Jordan.
From selecting the dove bearer to installing dinghies in Spring Bayou, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral has already begun preparations for the main event on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024.
Here’s the schedule of events for the 118th Epiphany celebration.
