Town of Davie Town Hall Closeout Documentary 2022
The Town of Davie hosted a Town Hall Closeout Ceremony on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the former Town Hall, 6591 Orange Drive, Davie, FL 33314.
Mayor Judy Paul sent an invitation to all existing and former living Davie Town Councilmembers who have served the community since 1961. Davie’s former public representatives who have passed were honored posthumously. This event was the last time members of the public had the opportunity to visit the site or enter the former Town Council Chambers.
The old Town Hall facility served as the primary municipal office for more than 60 years, providing a range of services, including utility bill payments, municipal clerk services, building permitting and serving as the offices of the Davie Mayor and Town Councilmembers. The western façade of the building pays homage to Davie’s historical roots, agricultural environment and western-themed downtown atmosphere.
In March 2022, the facility was vacated and Town Hall services were relocated to Pine Island Park (Bamford Sports Complex), 8800 SW 36th Street, Davie, FL 33328. The temporary Town Hall facility is adjacent to the Pine Island Multipurpose Center, where Town Council and other public meetings are held and will continue until we return to the new facility in approximately 2024/2025.
