'He should still be alive' | Jacksonville residents react to shooting that left 14-year-old boy dead
A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed in Northwest Jacksonville in the evening time on New Year’s Day, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO’s Lieutenant Adam Blinn says at 6:10 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 9000 block of Castle Boulevard in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, Blinn says they found the 14-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
